Nettle

The Cavers chose Nettle because it wouldn’t be prone to flooding. Unfortunately Storm Dennis not only flattened the molehills, but provided a continuous spray of water down the entrance shaft.

They descended Elizabeth, for Ben a first, and he was provided with the history. The Flats either way were explored briefly and then the outward journey progressed, the cold and damp being the main obstacle, if you ignore Mike’s foot loop breaking during the ascent of the Narrows. (Mike, Rob, Ben)
